This video about baked Medu Vada recipe. Requirements Black gram (Urad dal)- 1 Cup Yellow dal (Tuvar dal) - 1/4 Cup Rice 2 Tablespoon Water (As needed to grind the batter) SPICES Onion 1 Cup (4 tbs), chopped finely Coriander leaves 1/4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped finely Ginger paste/Minced ginger To Taste Green chili paste/Minced green chilies To Taste(optional ) Shredded coconut 1 Tablespoon Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp Salt To Taste Curry leaves 5 Medium Donuts pan METHOD Soak the lentil and rice overnight. Drain the soaked water and grind lentil adding water little by little. Make the batter little runny or loose in consistency because we are baking the vadas otherwise vadas may turnout hard. Take the batter in the mixing bowl and add all the spices, mix well to combine everything together. Cover the batter for 15-20 min Preheat the oven at 350F, grease the Donuts pan with oil or butter. Pour the batter in donuts rings one by one. Bake the vadas for 15 to 20 min or until they turn golden color. Enjoy the medu vada guilt free with chutney.
