Sehra-e-Mohammad (Maham Suhail, Sufi Night)

A 'sehra' is a wedding song, to welcome the bridegroom, in our tradition. This piece is an old composition, in the Punjabi/Hindi/Poorbi language mix, based on strong imagery about the Prophet Mohammed (SAW), his life scenes & the chorus being some lyrics of endearment, to welcome him as the groom in this sehra. This performance was done at the Sufi Night (Alhamra Arts & Cultural Complex, Lahore), early Jan., 2018.
