With this Drum & Bass backing track you can exercise and improvise over the most common jazz seventh chords: mi7, 7, Ma7, mi7b5 and mi6. The jazz chord progression is a simple but complete looping sequence of fifths and you may recognize many of the chords and chord changes from several standard jazz tunes. We play in a swing/shuffle feeling, 4/4, 130 BPM. 00:00 Sequence of fifths in Emi 04:11 Sequence of fifths in Dmi 08:18 Sequence of fifths in Gmi Every chord in the chord progression has at least two bars of length - in that way we have the chance to really dwell upon each chord before changing to the next chord. I made several LESSONS about how to improvise Jazz over the very same specific chord progression as in this backing track. All these lessons including this backing track I have gathered in a single playlist: /playlist/PLd8gNAxPUcJzqwqL21s9NExEKpk14bglb Two more lessons will be added to the playlist early February and early March. Enjoy :) If you wanna try out the backing track in your own DAW I've uploaded the MIDI files packed in a zip folder: http://www.newjazz.dk/music/MIDI_SeqOfFifthsDrum& BassBackingTrack_JazzSwing130BPM.zip You are most welcome to make a small donation at https://www.paypal.me/newjazz or https://www.patreon.com/newjazz But don’t feel obligated – all material and videos from NewJazz are free, public and for everybody.
