While getting to know their neighbors, they may even fall in love and raise a family of kittens with one of over twenty eligible partners. When a dark presence threatens their new home, the player must rise to the challenge and root out the corruption that lies at the heart of the Wildwood. Cattails: Wildwood Story began development in September 2019. In May 2022 a Kickstarter campaign concluded with over $240,000 in backer support, smashing its goal and ending with over 800% funding. Since then a small closed beta playtest group has seen regular monthly updates with new features, stretch goals, and plenty of surprises added to the game along the way. Lead developer Tyler Thompson says, “We are thrilled to finally welcome players into the Wildwood. After four years of continual development, we believe Cattails: Wildwood Story is a strong new entry in the Cattails series.
