The experience of shooting with the R5 is very pleasant, during the 3 hrs shoot, I did not experience any over heating cos we weren't doing any long takes. I found out one problem with the current firmware, when i switch to tamron lens, the ibis will automatically switch off, need to go into the menu system and switch it back on. The CFE card that I was using by TOPSSD does not live up to the labeled speed. It states on the card that it writes at 600 MB/S and reads at 900 MB/S, but in reality, its 380 MB/S and 410 MB/S tested via BMD disk speed. This card is not fast enough to record internal raw. Overall, Im very happy with the R5's image. Its very very sharp even at 300%, the dynamic range is quite good, high iso is very very impressive, colours are accurate, The Red in comparison has much more dynamic range, more noise and lesser sharpness (largely due to the 15:1 compression.) and to me, better colour but the R5 is very close. I'm very happy to shoot on he R5 with its amazing Auto focus and IBIS. 11 mins of 8k all-i clips took roughly 2-3 hours to generate prores proxy on my 2.5ghz quad core mbp with 16 GB ram and 2gb graphics card in resolve. (which edits red R3D raw with no problem) without proxy its not possible to even view the footage in any resolution. But with proxy, its extremely fluent. Exporting the 7min footage took 02:10 hours. So editing it actually isn't that bad after you have transcoded the footage, but fingers crossed that you don make any mistake haha. Thanks a lot for watching~
