SPECIAL BATATA/POTATO BHAJI FOR MASALA DOSA RECIPE | मसाला डोस्याची भाजी

Today I made masala dosas for breakfast ..I thought I'd share this special potato/batata stuffing recipe with all you wonderful people..its very different from the regular potato bhaji that I make..If you wanna see the regular potato bhaji which is also very delicious and goes well with puris click here for my recipe.../watch/IEDu0ZMEU-yEu I also have a recipe for another kind of potato bhaji which has pepper & peanut powder here is the link for that special recipe /watch/csck-d3bQxmbk then there is the raw potato bhaji which is called "kachrya"(kachhriya)which is my favourite of all ,here is the recipe link /watch/s701=t&4di5TNEH1yoH1 and a hot favourite is the kanda batata rassa recipe ..link here /watch/s933=t&ImCWLoW_ACF_3 Ingredients for today's recipe 2 medium sized potatoes boiled and diced 2 light green chillies cut into 4's 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds 1/2 tsp of hing/asafotedia 1/2 tsp of haldi powder/turmeric powder 1 medium onion sliced a few fresh curry leaves 1 tbsp of cashewnuts 1 tbsp of kismis salt to taste pinch of sugar 1/4 cup of water Method In a pan,heat 1 & 1/2 tbsp of oil,once the oil is hot add the mustard seeds,once they begin to pop add the chillies ,fry them well ,now add the cumin seeds,hing and haldi powder ..saute..add the curry leaves ..fry a bit..add the sliced onion ,fry till translucent..add the cashew nuts & kismis..fry a bit now add the potatoes ..mix everything well,season with some salt and a pinch of sugar...cover for about 5 mins..The bhaji is ready . For the dosa wash 1/2 cup of udid dal well ..soak in 2 cups of water for 7-8 hours/overnight,also add a few meethi/fenugreek seeds wash 1 cup of rice well and soak in 3 cups os water for 7-8 hours /over night drain all the water from the udid dal,grind the udid dal to a fine paste using 1 tbsp of water drain all the water from the rice and grind the rice to a fine paste with 1-2 tbsp of water.. Now mix both these pastes together very well using your hand ..as the warmth of the hands helps to ferment the batter better..keep this batter covered in a dark place for 10 hours /overnight..It will double in size .use to make dosas like this.
