@hitman35315 months agoI am a new subscriber, I just finally got a remington 700 .308 SPS tactical as well as a brand new Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44. I am completely new to long range/scoped rifles, I've always had AR 15's, pistols, AK's but definitely can't wait to sight in my scope and get better, glad there's some great info here, really liking everyone's input on here as well as the video being helpful. hope all is well! @limmaanka3 years agoForgot ear protection while giving orders to my Carlgustav gunner, that hurts hahaha, bought a Voretex tactical myself and going to sight it in. Thanks for the video! 3

@littledaddynesbit41932 years ago...sighted in my brand new Lithgow LA102 in .223 @100 yards today. Took me 15 rounds, shooting groups of 3, to get me to a 0.7" group on bull. This is my first centrefire rifle after 3 years of .22lr. Looking to shoot 500+ yards comps in the Summer. I've just bought a Diamondback to replace the cheap Hawke 4-12 scope I used today, so all advice useful! After that, ammo testing and then stock bolt torque settings for harmonics (if it works on free floating 22lr barrel, it should on a .223). Thanks for the video, good luck with your new hobby! ...3

@ZOMBIE_WARBOWS10 months agoI got the same scope and I went backwards too. What I do now is I actually aim at the bullseye while I'm looking through the scope and turn the turrets till it's on the bullet hole. Then the next shot's better. 4

@justingoad68913 years agoYou should shoot a group of at least 2 or 3. Before moving crosshairs. It saves ammo in the long run 8

@johnclore62853 years agoVery good vid. Is that a 50? I got a Center Point scope, POS for my PCP Hatsan FlashPup air rifle. I did a review of scopes and the Vortex was the best for under 500.00. It is coming next week. I was, back in the day, 60 now, on the Army competition rifle and pistol team. I do still have my AR-15 Armalite Sniper rifle. ...1

@ssa3eedss8 months agoThank you for sharing, But I think it's not recommended to change the sight of the scope after the very first shot because the barrel is clean and cold and it's not going to stay like this all the time, so after the second shot it's better to start sighting from there when the barrel is not clean and hot which this is what the rifle is going to stay at. Thnx. ...1

@
@carlreynolds11113 years agoCongrats on the almost perfect second shot . Did turn the windage turret to go left toward the first shot ? And did you adjust vertical and go twist up the amount of click necessary ? I think that’s what is supposed to happen . Or aim I still backwards on that ? ...2
