Our wonderful patient, Emilie, and her mother talk with Dr. Hauser about the improvement in joint stability during their 3 month stay in the US while Emilie received Prolotherapy. As we often see with many EDS patients, the chronic dislocations and debilitating make a "normal" life nearly impossible. As in Emilie's case, even sleeping had become difficult as dislocating ribs and other joints kept her awake. We hope that her story will help inspire others with EDS and severe joint hypermobility to explore treatment possibilities if they feel that they are not receiving optimal care for their joint dislocations and chronic pain. Thank you, Emilie, for being an inspiration to our team and to many others around the globe whose lives are affected by EDS!
