Special and the third disc of the Falcom Special Box '95 (Ys IV J.D.K. Special Part II) contain the original FM sound source of the Ys IV soundtrack produced by Falcom Sound Team J.D.K., and was likely the source that Falcom gave to Hudson Soft (Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys) and Tonkin House/Advance Communication/CUBE (Ys IV: Mask of the Sun) to make their versions for the games. The sound quality of these albums is akin to Falcom PC-98 games of the same era (if not exactly the same), and they are the closest thing to the original incarnation of the soundtrack for "Ys IV" (i.e. original sound versions, not arranged by someone other than Falcom's own composers).
