Ministry of Cooperation filed an application in the Supreme Court of India to address these issues. The Supreme Court ordered the transfer of Rs. 5000 Crores from the Sahara-SEBI Refund Account to the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) for disbursement to genuine depositors. To make the process transparent and efficient, the Ministry developed a user-friendly digital portal on cooperation.gov.in. Four cooperative societies - Sahara Credit, Saharayan Universal, Humara India Credit, and Stars Multipurpose - are involved in this initiative. Genuine depositors can log in to the portal, fill an online application, and upload required documents. Ensure you have an Aadhar-linked mobile number and bank account for verification purposes. Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies will verify the applications within 30 days and communicate the decision within 45 days of filing the claim. All claims for the four societies should be submitted in the same application form. Only online claims through the portal will be accepted, and there is no fee for submitting a claim.
