Meet Amy Hungerford, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences

As the dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Amy Hungerford oversees faculty for five Columbia schools: Columbia College, Columbia General Studies, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, School of the Arts, and School of Professional Studies. “One of the great things about being the dean of Arts and Sciences,” she tells Columbia News, “is I’m meeting colleagues from all of those spaces every day and working closely with them and with the students.” In addition to serving as dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Hungerford is also the executive vice president for Arts and Sciences, Ruth Fulton Benedict Professor of English and Comparative Literature, and author of several books.
