Something a little different with this upload, i am at a model railway exhibition held in Wakefield in December 2021. This exhibition has only one layout but it's huge! In O Gauge, it shows Heaton Lodge Junction at Mirfield in Yorkshire. It has over 3 miles of track and a wide variety of traction and trains. It is loosely set in the late 1970s/early 1980s, when the layouts maker used to go train spotting there. There are a few steam workings and some later era locos as well. On this upload we see clsoe up shots of not just the trains but various aspects of the railway scene. There are information boards dotted around the layout which explain all about it, there are shown as well. I also show the rear of the layout which is still a bare yard but which will in time be made into a freight yard and a typical Yorkshire station. The trains have working lights plus engine sounds as well! Well worth a visit if it comes your way, i have put links in to their Instagram and web page below.
