Coach Chris gets to hang with Founder of Critical Bench Mike Westerdal and the amazing Coach Tonya Fines... who by the way LOVES to do deadlifts and train heavy. The trap bar or hex bar is a favorite piece of equipment in many gyms everywhere. For exercises like deadlifts, shrugs, farmer's carries and more, the trap bar is versatile and super fun to use. If you're looking for something new to try, how about doing a LADDER workout. Ladder method workouts either work up or work down with reps. In this video you see a 10-1 ladder routine. We do 10 reps for all of the exercises in Set #1. We also do a farmer's carry or walk from one end of the turf to the other. Set 2 goes to 9 reps per exercise, Set 3 to 8 reps and so on all the way down to Set #10 with 1 rep per exercise. Here are the 5 exercises: Deadlifts Farmer's Walk Shrugs Push Ups Mountain Climbers Remember, this is a ladder method workout. 10 reps followed by 9 reps all the way down to 1 rep per exercise.
