His reply was will see! We never made it, he passed away in march 2021 and i sit here today on my birthday wishing i attended for him. Michael kay' s words in jeter' s last game at yankee stadium fit perfectly and i love hearing that phrase. " where fantasy becomes reality" while i' m watching that walk-off hit, it' s just amazing.
i remember that i started watching him play since i was 7 years old and now i am 27 years old and he is someone who i saw him on television and he motivated me to never give up and be a leader until my college baseball teammates named me captain without my asking. I am a big fan of his career that my golden dream was to play besides him, he on ss, me on 2b, on prinstripes, oh men! That' s what i imagined when i was younger! But god had other plans for me ando i hope one day to meet and talk with him, it would be most incredible and most amazing thing of my existence of this life. Derek is an inspiration to do things the right way.
