Sooji Ka Halwa :
Ingredients:
Sooji (Semolina ) 1 Cup
Sugar 1 Cup
Milk 1 ½ Cup
Powder Milk 1 Cup
Orange Food Colour ½ Teaspoon
Cardamom Few
Cloves Few
Desiccated Coconut 1 Tablespoon
Ghee 2 Tablespoon
Oil 1 Cup
Crushed Almonds 1 Tablespoon
Method:
Warm the milk as shown in the video and add sugar in it to dissolve the sugar and add quarter teaspoon orange food colour. Once the sugar is dissolved and it is brought to one boil just set it aside.
Now add oil to the pan and add cardamom and cloves in it and remove them once they are fried and left aroma in the oil.
Now add Semolina as shown in the video and cook for a few minutes and add milk powder and cook for another five to seven minutes and cook them together until it turns brown. Adjust the flame while cooking.
Now add the ghee
Now add the coconut an almond as shown in the video and cook for a while, keep stirring as shown in the vide on a low flame.
Now the milk which we prepared with sugar and orange food colour in the first step to the semolina and turn the stove to medium low flame and cook until you reach the required consistency as shown in the vide.
You can taste the Halwa and adjust sugar if needed accordingly.
You can decorate with your choice of nuts before serving.
