In this lecture, I have discussed about the Major connectors, which are the part of a removable partial denture's framework. Subscribe @studywiththedentist for more on Dental Education and Dentistry. - Major connectors, is the component that connects the two main sides of the removable partial denture or also known as the cast partial denture. - Major connectors have a very important role in the distribution of functional forces that are being applied on any of the part of the removable partial denture. - There are few guidelines that we need to follow when fabricating the major connectors. In order to make it stronger, more resilient, and least irritating. - The guidelines on how to design a major connector in a removable partial denture are discussed in this video. They remain more or less the same, with a few variations to the rules that may occur with the specific type of a major connector.
