I’ve been a modest person for most of my life. But I’m going to tell you the story of how I got a big head. And it all started when I got big… well, everywhere else. I was always super tall and super skinny. I got made fun of a lot when I was a kid. They’d call me names like “beanpole”, and “giraffe”. I even got a “Dikembe Mutombo” once. Anyway, I had grown up around so much teasing, I’d try to not draw too much attention to myself by staying quiet and modest. I was never comfortable with the way I looked. No one was calling me names anymore, but everything I’d heard from bullies back then echoed in my mind. Whenever I looked in the mirror, I thought I kind of did look like a giraffe. I was so insecure, I had become my own bully. So I decided to do something about it. I found a personal trainer and started working out at the gym. It was really tough and discouraging at first but Val was always super encouraging, even when I didn't believe in myself. Once I got the hang of things, I was so surprised at how quickly I grew. Pretty soon, I got even stronger than Val! Val said she’d never seen progress like this. She even encouraged me to compete as a pro bodybuilder! At first, I wasn’t sure about that. The idea of standing on stage for everyone to see me and judge me from every angle sounded like my worst nightmare! But then, people at the gym started paying me compliments. I wasn't used to attention, but this was all so positive, I started digging it. Sometimes people would even come up to me on the street and ask to take a picture, like I was a celebrity or something. Once, someone greeted me by flexing their arm, and I flexed mine back. And after that, I started doing that as a way to say hi to people, and they'd always flex back. It sort of became my thing. And people loved it! I'd do it to the mailman after he dropped off my mail. And whenever someone let me cut into their lane during rush hour, I'd hit 'em with one of these: Boom! And of course, it's how I greeted Val. It got to a point where we were almost entirely communicating like that. Val was always so psyched about my progress and that got ME psyched. She finally convinced me to compete in my first bodybuilding competition. I was nervous, but when I got up on that stage and hit my poses, I heard cheers and applause! My nerves instantly went away and I hit 'em with my trademark pose! Boom! This time I gave 'em TWO tickets to the gun show! The crowd ate it up. And I won first place! Val and I went out to dinner to celebrate that night. I was still riding that high from winning my first contest, so the gun show was on full display! Boom! Two first-class tickets to the gun show! I started winning more contests. The more I won, the more attention I got. I even got on the cover of "Gun Show Weekly" and "Muscle Worship Magazine". I was kind of famous! People who had never met me would recognize me and flex their arms at me - which was my trademark move! Boom! Two tickets! I was also invited to fitness conventions where I'd do meet and greets with all my fans. People would wait in line for hours to get an autograph and a picture. I even got sponsored and did all kinds of commercials, too. Who knew that my big muscles would get me on TV? ✅ Subscribe to Hidden Wisdom Story. /channel/UCtMGib1dga1bC39pe4QuFDA #anime #comic #cartoon #animation #HiddenWisdomStory #EnglishProverb
