i don' t care about much intensely, but that quote will likely stick i stumbled upon your enter the matrix video a few months ago and have been a fan since. This video was quite the lovely surprise, especially as someone who hardly knew anything about black and considered snagging an xbox copy for mad cheap. A quaint reminder of the 00' s edgy " shoot the foreigner while wearing sunglasses in the dark" aesthetic, but glad to know i' d be wasting my five bucks. Thanks!

@Rc36517 years ago Hah, i loved this game as a kid, but that was almost assuredly because i mainly played on ps2 and i hadn' t played manyshooters. i went back and played it a year or two ago and holy shit it' s bad. Still have fond memories of it, but it' s hard to play when the levels just go on for way too long with no payoff.

@ChucksSEADnDEAD7 years ago It' s not so much " gun porn" butporn" i remember the reviews criticizing the " half to kill an enemy but there' s location damage for the headshot" as a dumb way to pad the game with artificialto make the gameplaybut without really offering that reward for the skill. It' s a console game, it' s made with lack of precision in mind, except for spread at range i' ve never had an issue with going for the head rather than the chest. There' s noin avoiding the direct fire if half of the cover elements explode in a ball of fire. It' s not so much that the game has hard sections but that many times you can only see the muzzle flash and not the enemy it' s coming from. You shoot back at the flash but what the hell are you hitting? A grey concrete block? Grey metal pipe? Grey fatigues worn by the enemy? The enemies had poor ai and i remember this being excused as " it' s just a dumb shooter based on dumb hollywood action movies! " so the mowing down of dozens of brain dead goons was forgiven. A lot of stuff was indeed taken from the movies, such as the excessive metallic clicking. ...Expand 5

i was so damn excited for this game, with i was mainly pumped for the environmental destruction. I remember criterion stating that you could blow apart an entire level, if you had enough ammo. That each bullet would physically deform the world.
boy, was i disappointed. And really, the only game to offer the feature seems to be the upcoming crackdown.

a suggestion?
perhaps do a " tales of the gun" style episode- a history and review of video game firearms? As a fellow hoplophile, i' d be quite excited to see something like that from you.
