Joseph shares his experience of converting from Catholicism to Islam as an Italian-American and how it has affected his views on identity. He hopes others will also learn to embrace their multiple identities. My name is Joseph Figlioli. I am a senior at Wayne state University and I am getting my Bachelor’s in Urban Studies. I spend most of my time exploring new places around Detroit that most people don’t see. My hobbies include taking pictures of architecture and bike riding. I would like to change the perception of Detroit and look at it in a positive light.
