The Golden Hanwha 63 Building (Korean: 63 빌딩 or 육삼 빌딩) is the tallest gold-clad structure in the world. Officially the Hanwha 63 City, it's a skyscraper on Yeouido island, overlooking the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. It was designed by the American architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. At 250 meters (819 ft) high, it was the tallest building outside North America when it opened in July 1985. The 63 Building was built as a landmark for the 1988 Summer Olympics. Namsan tower is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea, and is the highest point in Seoul. Built in 1971, Namsan is Korea's first general radio wave tower, providing TV and radio broadcasting in Seoul.
