Designing and building a powerful induction heater.
In this video I am going to make a powerful induction heater that can heat metal rods within just seconds. This homemade induction heater can deliver upto 2000 watts of induction heating power.
This DIY induction heater is a custom made unit based arround the popular tank circuit which uses a combination of inductors and capacitors to convert DC voltage into a continiously changing magnetic field. As a result of changing magnetic field a huge amount of eddy currents appears inside the object that is placed inside the external coil, allowing the subject to heat up red hot.
This induction heater can be a very useful tool to heat up metal objects without any physical contact and the process is quick.
