EYE OF FIRE: GAS LEAK SETS THE GULF OF MEXICO ALIGHT

A fire on the ocean surface west of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula raged on Friday before it was extinguished, Pemex, Mexico’s state-owned oil company, which operates the pipeline, blamed a gas leak from the underwater pipeline. Pemex said no injuries were reported, and production from the project was not affected after the gas leak ignited.
