Federal court Judge Tanya Chutkan held a hearing in Donald Trump's bogus lawsuit, in which he is attempting to stop the National Archives from turning over to the House select committee information about Trump's actions in connection with the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. With a deadline of November 12 for the National Archies to provide the evidence to Congress, Judge Chutkan indicated she will "rule expeditiously." I was in court for the hearing and it became apparent to me that Judge Chutkan will very likely reject Trump's claims and allow the documents to be turned over. The question then becomes, what will the appellate court do? Will it allow Trump to weaponize the delay in the court system or will it allow progress to be made into the House investigation in a timely manner. This short video surveys some of the options available to the appellate court.
