@angelabf91996 years agoThis is one of the best beauty videos that ive ever seen! I really appreciate your meticulous research and your objectivity. I wish everyone included i i have all the palettes except for mario and subculture. Im fair skinned with a neutral to cool undertone and hazel/brown eyes. My least favorite is the soft glam because i feel like its a bit too warm for me. Same with the more orangey tones in mr, but i love the red/berry colors - abh was a trailblazer in including those. Now everyone has berry-toned palettes but i dont think many companies were doing those before mr came out. Im loving norvina and sultry - so happy to see some cooler-toned palettes! i love your channel - keep up the amazing work!. ...Expand18

@LadyLoin4 years agoThis is what i call a review: love that you put time stamps in your description box so your viewers can choose which parts we are interested in listening my first abh palette was the modern renaissance, i received it as a gift from my mom, think it must have been in 2017. I also have the soft glam, i' ve seen some people saying it' s unnecessary to purchase soft glam if you already have mr or vice versa because they are so similar they say. But i disagree, yes there are similar shades and some shades are even the same exact shade (burnt orange, although i don' t think burnt orange look the exact same in the sg as it does in mr, maybe i' m tripping, also cyprus umber and tempera) but i do think it' s worth it to have both mr and sg in your collection: there are a few shades in the palettes that i never or rarely use, but most of the shades i get use out of, and i often combine shades from the two palettes, so they are like a team working together haha! It' s mostly warm tones, but you can also of course do more neutral looks with these palettes as well as more cool toned looks, depending which shades you use and how you combine. Which i love to have the option for both warm and cool toned looks, since i' m like one of few that actually enjoys cool toned eye shadows too: i was eyeing the sultry palette as well, but i skipped on that one. And although beautiful colors, i haven' t personally been attracted to the collab palettes (carli bybel palette, amrezy palette, jackie aina palette. I like my neutral colors and those collab palettes i mentioned are more colorful in my opinion: i just wish abh changed the outside packaging to another material, i remember when i got the mr palette, i thought it looked so pretty with the velvety outside at first. But it didn' t take long for me to only feel annoyed by it, since it attracts so much dust etc, both my palettes looks kinda dirty now cause of that. So i think it would be better if they stopped doing the velvety outside on their palettes, and i think many other (possibly most of) consumers agree: i didn' t mean for my comment to be so long, woopsie, too excited about makeup. Watching the rest of your video now xoxo. ...Expand

@stephj72746 years agoI have all 6 of thei' m not surprised by the similarities. I did swatch comparisons after i got soft glam & i was shocked. I think had there not been such a wtf/ why/horrible reaction to subculture i think abh would' ve went in a different direction. I love subculture but don' t get me wrong there is flaws. But people want somethingbut when it' s given they don' t like it, or why didn' t they do this, or why are they trying to do something different etc so instead abh stays with what they' re known for: beautiful shadows, great lasting power, amazing pigment & everyday wear with a couple pops of color. Prisim wasn' t perceived as well as their other palettes as well. It' s a fun unique palette with great combos & is a beautiful companion palette (as is all abh palettes) but after m. R i don' t think no matter what they do they' ll out grow the innovation, inspiring, wow factor as it had on the market. I think that' s what they want (why wouldn' t they lol)is another omg palette as m. R but things like that usually don' t come around twice. I think they should go back to the subculture drawing board & brainstorm ideas around another " wow factor" palette. ...Expand18
