#Puttu,Kadalecurry ing. for Kadalecurry Corriander leaves 2 tb sp Channa,Brown Channa 1 cup Onion 2 Tomato 2 Grated coconut 1/2 cup for the masala Coconut oil 2 tsp Corrianderseeds 2 tsp Red chilles 5 Saunf 1 tsp Ginger 1 inch Garlic 5 Cinnamon 2 Cloves 2 Elaichi1 Roast the ing using 1 tsp oil and grind it with coconut. ing for Seasoning Coconut oil2 tsp Mustard 1 tsp saunf 1 tsp Red chille1 Curry leaves 4 sprigs Method Pressure cook the overnight soaked channa adding 2 cups of water till 5 whistles. In the same kadai add oil and 1 chopped onion and fry till transparent,add tomato pieces and saute and cook till soft. Transfer it to a plate and cool and grind with masala adding 2 tsp of cooked channa. Heat a kadai add 2 tsp oil add seasoning ing and add onion pieces and saute till light brown .Add the ground masala and saute for few min. Add salt and turmeric and let it simmer for 10 min,Check for salt and consistency.If it's thick add little water. Add chopped corriander leaves. Puttu ing. Raw rice 1 cup salt 1/2 tsp or as per taste Freash Grated coconut 1cup Method Soak raw 1 cup rice for 2 hours strain and dry on a cloth. Powder the rice on mixer jar. Roast the flour on medium flame till hot to touch. After it cools add 1/2 tsp salt and mix. Sprinkle water little by little and mix till the flour looks like bread crumbs.you can hold the flour and it crumbles .Add water to the pressure cooker and bring it to boil. In puttu kulai first insert the seive and add 1 tbsp coconut and half fill with flour .Add coconut again and fill with flour.And top it with coconut .Close the lid and keep the puttu kulai on cooker lid where we keep whistle and cook for 10 min.
