@ianalexander76624 years ago I thought the same thing. How odd that not only so many planets have the same gravity, but they all look suspiciously like southern California. 18

@kyrapatton19404 years ago I found this on a nerd page, because I was wondering about the butterfly. "As you can see, little Ben Solo develops an affection for these critters, who seem to appreciate his service. So where do the theories come in? Well, for starters, butterflies are extremely symbolic in terms of storytelling. Throughout mythology, you’ll see the butterfly as a symbol of resurrection, rebirth, and renewal, as well as long life and love. Blue butterflies are used most often in television, art, and film—mostly because they’re so beautiful, but also because they’re so rare." ... 2

@escott19814 years ago This episode of the Mandalorian was so great!! I was totally geeking out! I am an "OG Fan" and it was what I have been waiting to see! It was a little funny to see that Boba has put on some extra weight tho. You'd think being stuck on a desert planet for decades would have resulted in him being thinner! LOL. It looks like he was stuck on a dessert planet, not a desert planet! OK, now I'm just being silly! But seriously, it was so bad ass to see Boba Fett fight both before and after the armor. What a great episode! ... 1

@longboardshawn4 years ago Interesting you say it feels like a Star Trek episode. Listen VERY carefully when Gideon is on the bridge...you might find some of the ambient noise a little treky... 2

@benjamingleaton12564 years ago Great Review, you totally hit the nail on the head regarding the last trilogy that was released in regards to (in my opinion) not really staying true to the previous 6 movies...

@shesmypresident16374 years ago Star Wars 7-9 needs to be erased from canon and the excuse of 'We made a big mistake' will be just fine.. 19

@ericseamons99824 years ago The real tragedy is that Jon Favreau wasn’t made the director of the sequel trilogy. That should have happened from the beginning. 1

@Harkness784 years ago Eh, I had a ton of problems with the episode. Mando trying 3 times to breach the kids forcefield... on the third attempt I yelled at the screen "You tried that!"
Why did they obliterate the razor crest from orbit but not touch Slave One?
Why could Boba Fett not see the Star Destroyer right away? Mando and Fennic could see it clearly from the ground. Where does Bobba get off ominously stating "The Empire has returned..."? They are in disarray but clearly are still very present all over this post-ROTJ era.
What were 2 random Stormtroopers doing in Grogu's prison cell? Were they interrogating him? How did they get him in the cell if he was awake and willing to throw down? Really should have had a scene of the Dark Troopers throwing him in, or have Grogu be asleep from the ordeal on the planet and wake up with the stormtroopers in the room trying to put him in restraints and then he goes to town.
Some of the action was good, but a lot of it was "Stormtrooper runs from offscreen right at the heroes and gets melee'd, even tho it makes no sense and they should taking cover or standing still and shooting." Also hate that Mando tanks 30 blaster shots because it doesn't matter because of the armor, but every shot at the Sniper misses.
They should have the Sniper use some cool Gadget or explosive to get that boulder rolling, or illustrate that her new cybernetics helped. Just moving it with her legs is like moving a Truck with no wheels with your legs.
They should have had the Sniper explicitly state she has a life debt with Fett. The way they made it sound was pretty lame, like "He is my master" or some crap. Life debts are a total thing in universe, just call it what it clearly is.

@uni4rm4 years ago This episode is a tragedy plot-wise. SPOILERS FYI.
Lots of plot holes in this episode. Mando takes off his jet pack for the express purpose of being forced to run around, suddenly unable to recall it or he's completely forgotten it for some strange reason. It isn't a weapon, so why would Boba care about it, but let Mando simply put his gun in his holster when he's a crack shot? Why didn't Mando immediately recall the pack at the first sign of trouble? Where is Mando's rifle that was glued to his hands for almost the entire first season? Why is Mando throwing himself around at a force field like an idiot while Boba Fett, an old man, is suddenly a total bad ass when his entire contribution to the movie saga was following solo and falling into a pit? So we can remove Mando from the plot without actually hurting him. Why is the force suddenly visible and acting like a force field for that matter? Why did he just stroll up to Fennec and start shooting his apparent infinite amount of whistling birds instead of firing from cover? Why did the second troopship land in the same spot, and run into the open instead of landing in a safer spot and flanking the heros, and not shoot a single round at the heros from the air?
Why does the kids force field wear off as soon as Mando recovers and jogs off? So he can be kidnapped by Dark Troopers, which are supposed to be awesome, but all we see of them is flying around like Iron Man suits. WAY too convenient plot. Very weak.
I feel like they did this in order to slow down the plot because they're unsure where to take it. "What do we do? Mando is getting too much done, and there isn't any suspense! Lets have the kid get kidnapped again! Razor Crest is too good, and everyone likes Boba, so lets blow up the Crest after they just rebuilt it!"
I feel like they cling to an object, overuse it as a plot device, then dump it. Mando's rifle, Mando's whipcord, Mando's flamethrower, Razor Crest, JetPack, all overused then suddenly forgotten or destroyed to add difficulty in the plot instead of finding a decent explanation. Next week Mando will run out of Whistling Birds because he's overused them now.
Now we have to dig up a character from the first season, because apparently a former Imperial would know how a rogue Moth in post RotJ era acts, when he doesn't act like a typical Imperial leader at all, and oh wait, acts like your typical cocky villain boss now instead of the formerly cerebral combatant we knew when we met him. UUUUUGH.

@michelmorio80264 years ago The show is now the catwalk for all the cool Star Wars stuff Disney far too early shit upon... and now, after Rise of Soywalker and the shitshow that „trilogy“, we finally get back to the real Star Wars

@moonlitebrite93174 years ago The Mandalorian doesn't prove anything, you can't compare a web series where take your time to build character and story to trilogy where you only have so much time to tell a story.
Btw, since when is Star Wars known for having a plan? Do people really think the incest twins Luke & Leia and Ewoks was all apart of the plan?
