Bharat Mata Mandir - Mother India Temple, Varanasi

Shashank Sharma Shasha (the best guide in Varanasi) took us to Mother India Temple is located on the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith campus in Varanasi, India.This is a unique temple because in this particular temple, there is not a shrine of any god or goddesses. That is the map of undivided India, which is made of black and white marble.It started getting built in 1913, and they finished it in 1933. The texture and attention to detail on the map in marble lays out the whole of India, and how it unites India as one. And that was the whole purpose of the temple, was to bring the people of India together. This temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata and claims to be the only one of its kind in the world.
